    3rd International BioSC Symposium in Bonn

    Thomas Dietz, Neus Escobar and Jan Janosch Förster contributed to the session on “Socioeconomic Perspectives within a Sustainable Bioeconomy” chaired by Prof. Dr. Jan Börner at the 3rd International BioSC Symposium which was held in Bonn on November 12-13, 2018. The aim of the Symposium was to put together experts from academia and industry to discuss about recent results and new developments towards a sustainable Bioeconomy from different points of view.

    Neus Escobar presented the most recent outcomes from the STRIVE Component 2 on the sustainability of relevant bio-based sectors and commodities considering land use change and international biomass trade. Thomas Dietz gave a talk on the outcomes from a qualitative content analysis of 41 national bioeconomy strategies carried out under Component 3 to provide systematic answers to the question of how well designed these are in order to ensure the rise of a sustainable Bioeconomy.
