Mauricio Torres will give a presentation on the political and economic backgrounds of the fires and growing deforestation in the amazon area. He will talk about the situation of the heterogeneous local population and the social movements and will give a summary about the socio-ecological consequnces of the first year of the Bolsonaro government.
