    Focus Day: “Bioeconomy and social Inequalities”

    On the 4th of July 2018, the BMBF-Junior Research Group is organizing a focus day on “Bioeconomy and social Inequalities”. The goal of the event is to get feedback for current research on the bioeconomy and to evaluate intersectional approaches on a theoretical-conceptional level as well as to discuss their relevance and practical application for research.

    The focus day is part of the ‘Summer School on Political Ecology’ and will be held in English. The Summer School is organized annually by an interdisciplinary network of scientists from different universities and serves to improve networks and academic exchange. This year’s Summer School is organized by the BMBF-Junior Research Group “Bioeconomy and social Inequalities”, Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, the DFG-funded project on Postwachstumsgesellschaften, Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, the BMBF-Junior Research Group “Global Change – Local Conflicts? Conflicts over land in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa in times of global transformation”, Free University of Berlin, the Institute for Political Sciences, University of Vienna and the Institute for Social Ecology as well as the University for Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.
