    TRAFOBIT contributed to RETHINKING CLUSTERS Workshop

    After a vibrant community of scholars met for discussing over critical issues and new trajectories of cluster research in Florence in 2018, the second edition of a ‘Rethinking Clusters’ workshop took place at the University of Padova on May 15th-17th, 2019. The local and the global scale of sustainability transitions was discussed at great depth. The TRAFOBIT group contributed to the track on “Clusters and sustainability” with the following presentations

    “Towards a typology of bioclusters” (Frans Hermans)
    “Embedding sustainability of bioeconomy clusters into a multiscalar framework” (David Ayrapetyan)
    “From Bioclusters to the Bioeconomy: Lessons from the sustainability transition of the pulp and paper cluster in the Basque country” (Ram Kamath)

    Another presentation was part of the track “Clusters and entrepreneurship”

    “Innovation prospects of entrepreneurs in bioeconomy clusters: which context matters?” (Kerstin Wilde)

    The workshop series is organised by the Department of Economics and Management “M. Fanno” in collaboration with the University of Florence, the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The next event is scheduled to take place the 14.-15. Mai 2020 at Valencia, Spain.
